Networking & Name-dropping: Emily G’s

One of the many joys we experience as we travel to trade shows is getting to meet other people who are also in the healthy foods trade. While we were in Washington, DC this past May, we met up with two business women whose stories are similar to s.a.l.t. sisters; our paths crossed again in Atlanta.

Their company’s name is Emily G’s, owned and operated by two moms, Emily Myers and Gina Bodell. After trying their hand at making jam in their home using fresh ingredients, people started requesting more. Emily G’s was launched, and now, their artisan jams, called “Jam of Love,” are available on-line at, and in 40 retail locations.

With their ingredients being all-natural and their jams hand-poured the old-fashioned way, Brenda and I were instantly attracted to their product line and story. After sampling about 10 different flavors, I concluded these were the most flavor-intense, amazing jams I had ever tasted. I immediately started connecting ways of pairing their jams with our sea salts. At the bottom of this newsletter, you’ll find one recipe where the two products are partnered. We’ll continue creating more recipes as well, as we know this is going to be a long and beautiful friendship with Emily, Gina, and their jams!
