On June 28, s.a.l.t. sisters participated in the annual Taste of Chicago held at Grant Park. This event is HUGE, and, while it features the amazing food and restaurants in and around Chicago, people--including famous chefs--from all around the country attend.
I was privileged to hold a presentation with home cook and party planner Will Brown, someone I connected with in Atlanta. We sponsored Will for the event, and he chose to use the Yakima Applewood Smoked Sea Salt. While Will made one of his dishes (Will’s Way Creole Sausage & Tomato Gravy) he invited me to talk about our unrefined sea salts and answer questions from the audience. Once again, we’re thrilled to educate the public on the benefits of cooking with unrefined sea salts.
